Very beautiful forest with lots of different levels of trails to hike on a lot of dirt roads to drive. I would recommend visiting Allegheny National Forest anytime you are this way.
Bent Run, just eat of Kinzua Dam on route 59. A nice place for photo opportunities without having to go too far off the road. You have to be able to walk safely uphill and navigate rocks and roots, but it's a definite trail.
I'm prejudiced: It's like a member of my family! Been visiting and enjoying for generations. Absolutely beautiful. Plenty of camping sites, hiking, skiing, biking trails. Water for swimming, boating, fishing. Restaurants and museums. LOVE this place. Proud to call it home.
The views here are unlike any other place I’ve been. So much to see and the whole area is so expansive. There is a great selection of areas to hike, bike, fish, whatever you’re into. It’s fun to even just drive through and see everything from the road. There is a ton of history to be seen so check it out!
